Concessions Credits for the 2009 Tax Year

Please review the number of hours you have worked at the concession stand this year.

You should have received an email if you reached or exceeded the allowable maximum of $599.99 of credits for 2009.  A copy of the certification form that you must complete can be downloaded here. Please complete it and return it to Michelle Booth, BAHA Director of Concessions, no later than December 31, 2009.

You cannot earn $600.00 or more (in credits) for a calendar year. Please note that the "calendar year" differs from when the credits are actually earned AND awarded/distributed. The "calendar year" runs from January 1 through December 31, as are when the credits are earned. HOWEVER, the credits are awarded in the month after when they are earned. This means that you are awarded credits for a "calendar year" which were earned from December 1 of the previous year through November 30 of the current year.

You will need to certify each trained worker and the hours that they worked.  If any worker is over $599.99 earned for the period, you have 2 options.  You can choose to receive a 1099 and pay any resulting tax liability, OR you can donate your excess hours to your hockey association.  If you choose to receive a 1099, you will need to supply your social security # as well as an address.

Once credits are figured for November (paid out in December), the BAHA Director of Concessions will notify you of the total amount of your hours so that you can complete your form.  If you are not working any hours in November, the BAHA Director of Concessions can give you your total right away.

Please contact the BAHA Director of Concessions at 952-888-5924 or mikibooth@msn.com with questions.

Thank you for your cooperation.
